Briefing

Briefing is the quiet front door to North Star. It summarizes the current operating state without asking you to read every task, schedule, or test record.

Right now names the current useful focus. It should be specific enough to act on and honest when nothing is moving.

Needs your decision lists work that cannot continue safely without human judgment. Each item should say what changed, why the decision matters, and where to inspect the evidence.

Active work shows meaningful running or queued tasks. Old test records and duplicate preparation steps are kept out of the main view.

Next schedule tells you when the next scheduled task is expected and what it will do.

Recent result links to the latest useful outcome in History.

North Star does not measure usefulness by the number of cards on the page. A healthy quiet day can show no active work and no decisions. The system should make that state easy to trust.

Every material item should connect to its project, work item, schedule, decision, or evidence. Briefing is a map, not a second copy of every detail screen.
