Current status

North Star has reached a private working release. The connected dashboard is running behind authenticated access and is used for real project work.

  • a daily Briefing that shows the current focus and whether a decision is needed
  • connected Work, Projects, Schedules, System, and History routes
  • a compact Ask North Star conversation sheet
  • project-aware tasks with an explicit goal and limits
  • scheduled and queued work
  • safe dry runs and preparation steps before mutation-capable work
  • review records, source and deployment evidence, and recovery instructions
  • search and entity links that carry context between routes
  • the cinematic preview, which explains the product story and proof loop
  • this documentation site, which explains the concepts and interface in plain language
  • the North Star case study, which records why the project exists and how it evolved

The working dashboard, private project data, live controls, credentials, and infrastructure details are not public. There is currently no public download, hosted account, or installation guide.

The direction is stable: keep a self-hosted AI operator useful over time by connecting project context, scheduled execution, deliberate review, and durable memory. New work is driven by real use gaps, not by adding more dashboard activity for its own sake.
